When god's story impacts your life,
it is natural to want to share it with others

Story Guides are trained to lead groups to discover truths about God and His Story in SFL groups.

Who can become a story guide?

You can, if these are true for you.

  • You have experienced Story-Formed Life at least once. 
  • Your life has been impacted by God's Story and you are living a life that is Story-Formed.
  • You enjoy leading small groups.
  • You are teachable and willing to learn new skills
  • You have time and capacity to put in dedicated time to prepare for leading. (expect 3 hours per week)

Story Guide Training

In six weeks you will learn the essential skills of facilitating, teaching, question asking, and storytelling.

Step 1 // Online Video Training

You will watch and learn from our training videos in our resource library.  These videos cover topics such as  how to ask good questions, crafting powerful stories, the ballance of teaching and facilitating, and more. 

Step 2 // Practice Sessions

You will meet with your trainer and other Story Guides in training  over zoom for 4-6 practice sessions.  Receive feedback, tips and training as you learn and practice.

Step 3 // Co-lead an SFL Group

 In this phase of training you will partner with an experienced Story Guide to lead an SFL retreat or 11 week group.  In the co-leading process you will improve your skills through observation, practice, and coaching.
After all three steps are complete, you are an office Story Guide ready to lead your own groups!

Story Guide Training is free, but it will cost you.  Sharing God's Story is a great responsibility that requires great dedication.  We offer training three time a year.  If you are ready, apply for our next training below.
