Recap
The beauty of God's creation was shattered when doubt entered the Story. The serpent didn't simply tempt Adam and Eve to break a rule—he invited them to question the very heart of God. *Can God really be trusted? Is He truly good? Is He holding something back from you?* Believing that lie changed everything. Instead of trusting the Author of the Story, humanity reached for control, placing themselves at the center and choosing independence over relationship. That same lie has echoed through every generation. Like Adam and Eve, we all wrestle with the temptation to believe that life will be better if we write our own story instead of trusting God's.
The consequences of that choice spread far beyond the garden. Sin fractured every relationship—with God, with one another, with creation, and even within ourselves. The harmony of creation gave way to conflict, toil, disease, disaster, decay, and death. Yet even in the midst of pronouncing the consequences of sin, God spoke words of hope. He did not abandon His people or walk away from His creation. Instead, He promised that one day a Deliverer would come—a descendant who would crush the serpent and undo the work of evil.

Reflection & Training
If God was doing something in your heart, don’t be quick to close it back up. Let God dive in deep and work on you this week. It is better to seek and explore than to have all the "right answers." Here are some questions for you to ponder/discuss this week. Don’t feel pressure to answer all these questions, just the ones that strike a chord with you.
Trusting God
Think about recent or current trials. When you shift your perspective to see them as God training you in trust, what impact does that make?
The Curses
How does the impulse for men to be passive and women to desire control play out in your marriage? Consider owning your part and making changes.
The Sin Cycle
How do you hide and blame?
Instead of turning away from God like Adam and Eve did, take time to draw near to God and repent. He is lovingly pursuing your heart. Ask the Spirit to help you believe, "I am deeply loved by the Father and created in his image."
