Every journey eventually reaches a fork in the road, a moment when continuing forward requires a choice. The resurrection brings each of us to that very place. If Jesus truly rose from the dead, then He is Lord whether we acknowledge Him or not. The Father's grace has brought us this far, but now the question becomes deeply personal: Which path will we take? Will we confess Jesus as Lord, or continue following the many other "lords" that compete for our allegiance, our comfort, success, relationships, reputation, or our own plans? The fork in the road invites us into honest soul-searching as we consider who is really directing our lives.
Jesus doesn't hide where each path leads or what it will cost. He lovingly calls us to count the cost because following Him means laying down every competing lord and entrusting every part of our lives to the true King. Confessing Jesus as Lord is not simply a one-time decision made at the beginning of faith; it is a choice we make again and again. Every conversation, every decision, and every ordinary moment becomes another opportunity to choose the path of surrender, trusting that the road with Jesus, though costly, leads to the abundant life He promises.
