The journey of God's Story leads to a surprising revelation: God didn't rescue us simply to make us loyal subjects in His Kingdom. He welcomed us into His family as His beloved sons and daughters. That changes everything. Instead of earning our place through performance or living as spiritual outsiders, we are invited to receive an identity rooted in the Father's love. But before we can embrace that identity, we must first recognize the ways we've been living like slaves, such as chasing approval, striving for control, or finding our worth in success, appearance, or the opinions of others. Only when we let go of those false identities can we begin to experience the freedom of belonging to the Father.
As sons and daughters, our primary identity eclipses every other label the world gives us. We have full access to our Father's love, authority, resources, and inheritance, not because we've earned them, but because we belong to Him. God invites us to know Him as "Abba," our loving Father who delights in caring for His children. Living as a son or daughter isn't about trying harder; it's about staying close to the Father, spending time in His presence, and learning to trust Him more deeply. The more we live from that relationship, the more we experience the confidence, freedom, and restoration that have been ours all along.
